KA PARK DEMOLITION DERBY RULES & REGULATIONS 1. All cars must be signed in and inspected ½ hour before race time. 2. No adding metal for reinforcement. 3. No oiling or greasing frames. 4. No hitting in drivers door & No using the drivers door as a shield. 5. No hot-roding in the pits! Keep it at an idle. 6. Open doors & a second fire will cause disqualification. 7. Absolutely No sandbagging. Must make aggressive hits every 60 seconds. 8. Will be allowed 2 minutes to fire back up & make contact. 9. Any questions or controversies will be discussed at drivers meeting. 10. Entry fee of $25 for driver and $20 for passenger. 11. Pit passes will be $10 and you must be 18 years of age to enter pits. 12. Must have trophy’s and payouts picked up before leaving grounds. 13. Everyone entering pits must sign entry form, release waiver, pay entry fees, and purchase pit passes before entering pits. 14. NO ALCOHOL! If any one is caught with alcohol, they will be removed from the grounds by law enforcement. 15. Drivers must be 18 years of age and be able to provide proof at request of the officials. 16. Anyone under 18 years of age wishing to drive must have parent or guardian sign a release waiver form at pit entrance. NO EXCEPTIONS! BODY REGULATIONS 1. Passenger cars or station wagons only! No trucks, jeeps, hearses, limousines, or 4x4’s. 2. NO CHRYSLER IMPERIALS. 3. Remove all glass & trim. 4. Remove rear seats. 5. No spare tires, broken glass, or trash allowed in cars. 6. All cars must have seat belts & working brakes. (MANDATORY). 7. Bar, chain, or wire ran from top of roof down to cowl on front window is mandatory for safety. 8. Battery must be relocated in passenger compartment and must be covered. 9. Radiator must be in stock position. (NO RESERVE TANKS). Electric fans are allowed. 10. Fenders may be bolted together. 11. All doors must be welded or chained. Straps should not exceed ¼” thick and 4” wide. 12. NO ADDING METAL . 13. Body cannot be welded to frame. 14. No doubling of body panels. 15. Body mounts may be removed. Can use no larger than ¾” bolts or allthread to replace old bolts. 16. Body Mounts: Washers top and bottom may not exceed 6”x8” and may not be welded.The only body seams that can be welded is doors, trunk, & tailgate. (Outside Only).
HOODS AND TRUNKS 1. Hoods must have 2 holes at least 4” in diameter on each side of carburetor. Not directly on top of carburetor. 2. If hood is removed, either fan blade or belt must be removed. 3. Hoods may be secured with 2 pieces of allthread up to 1” in diameter in the radiator support area along with (4) ¾” bolts or allthread from cowl forward or you may use angle iron back to back, 2 per side (no more than 8” long) for a total of 4 per hood. 4. Wire may be used but must be on outside of radiator support. 5. Trunks may use ¾” allthread and may also be welded solid. 6. Tailgates on station wagons may be welded solid. CAGE 1. Must have at least a 4 point cage, no more than 6 point cage will be allowed. 2. Gussets on cage will be allowed. 3. One bar across dash area, one behind seat and one in the rear seat area to protect fuel tanks, tranny coolers, etc. along with 2 side bars. 4. NO KICKERS. 5. Cage must be in the drivers compartment, absolutely nothing allowed outside of the drivers compartment. 6. 4 down tubes only to the flat part of the frame inside drivers compartment will be allowed. FRAME 1. Top and bottom seams may be welded. 2. NO ADDING METAL. 3. Body can not be welded to frame. 4. May band-aid pre ran cars only but must be able to see where the bend was. Band-aid can not exceed ¼”x4”x6”. 5. NO CONCRETE. 6. Do not weld factory holes up, factory holes must be open for inspection. 7. May bolt a chain from frame to frame under rear of car to keep the humps from blowing out. 8. No plating, stuffing, heat treating or foam filling of frames will be allowed. 9. May notch frames but do not re-weld. 10. Trailer hitches must be removed. 11. Hump plates allowed if not leafed, KEEP TO MINIMUM GAS TANKS 1. Stock tanks must be removed. 2. Metal boat tanks or home made tanks must be mounted behind drivers seat in rear seat area and must be bolted down or held in place by metal straps and be secure. MUST BE METAL TANKS, NO PLASTIC TANKS WILL BE ALLOWED 3. NO gas tanks with duct taped hoses. 4. Must have a rubber cover over gas tanks. 5. Electric fuel pumps are allowed but must have a shutoff within reach of the driver.
BUMPERS 1. May be welded or bolted on. 2. Shock canisters may be stock or square tubing if welding bumper on solid. 3. If square tubing is used it can not be thicker than ¼”and can not extend past the stock mounting positions and also must be welded on the outside part of the frame. 4. May weld the outer skin to the inner part of the bumper but must be able to inspect bumper, so inspection holes must be open. 5. May trim ends for clearance. FRONT SUSPENSION 1. Front suspensions will be left up to drivers discretion. ENGINES AND TRANSMISSIONS 1. Any type engine or transmission may be used. 2. Front spark plug must be even or in front of upper ball joint on all v-block motors. 3. Home made motor mounts will be allowed but must meet approval of officials. 4. Any type of header will be allowed but must be directed away from driver. 5. Engine and transmission coolers are allowed. 6. Inspection personnel must approve all mounts, lines, and fittings. REAR ENDS 1. No truck or floater rear ends. 2. May leaf 1980 and newer, no more than 8 leaves per pack, no wider than ¾ ton truck springs. 3. Spring mounts may be made out of square tubing but can not be longer than 4” and no thicker than ¼”. 4. Spring mounts may be welded to frame. 5. Trailing arms my be shortened and reinforced. TIRES 1. 16 inch or smaller tires. NO SPLIT RIMS ALLOWED. 2. Valve stem protectors are allowed. RACING REGULATIONS 1. Approved helmets, eye protection, long pants and shirt are required. 2. If a driver receives a black flag for an intentional door hit, that driver will be disqualified from all competition. 3. All drivers must attend the drivers meeting. 4. All cars must be removed by 12:00 noon the following day or become property of the park board. COMPACT RULES 1. 108” wheelbase or less. 2. No 4x4’s. 3. Must have cage.(MANDATORY). 4. All other rules will be the same as full size cars. 5. Must be 4 or 6 cylinder cars

time is gettin near.. best paint job again this fall.. best of show trophy.. also added a modified heat to the fall derby.. dont be late, aug 20th at 3pm
